Your Help is Needed
The Lawrence County Humane Society is supported by our fund raising events, private donations and income from adoptions. The future of the animals depends on people like you to care and help us financially. All money goes directly to the care of the animals. Their future and our future rely on your generosity. Thank You!
A Gift
We also suggest contributions in someone’s name as a gift for the “person who has everything.” These donations are acknowledged with a card.
Guardian Angels
Be a Guardian Angel to the animals at the shelter. With a monthly pledge of $10.00 or more, you will be helping the homeless animals waiting to be adopted. In return, you will receive a Certificate of Appreciation, 12 envelopes to send in your donations and your name will be added to our poster at the Shelter.
How Children Can Help
We have had wonderfully generous children help in our efforts. Here are some of the things they have done:
- Set up a lemonade stand and donated their proceeds
- Collected pet food and supplies from their schools or scout troops
- Donated piggy bank money
- Requested gifts of supplies for the animals instead of birthday gifts for themselves
Where There’s a Will…There’s a Way…To Help Homeless Animals
Your bequest to the Lawrence County Humane Society will help ensure ongoing care for our animal friends when you no longer share their world. Your kindness can live on when you remember us in your will. Your attorney can help you make a bequest.
Memorial Donations
It is always sad when a friend or relative passes away. If they were an animal lover, they would be pleased to know that a memorial contribution was made in their name to the Lawrence County Humane Society. All memorials are acknowledged with a card sent to the family.
