Hello there! My name is Ducky. I came into the shelter with my sister, Goose. We had a rough start in life. We were both kinda skittish when we first showed up here. We were underweight, and covered in fleas. We didn’t know anyone here. And there were all these strange smells and sounds. But the staff told us not to worry. They gave us medicine for our fleas, and lots of food. We had full bellies for the first time in what seemed like forever. And no more itching! Once we started to feel better and put on some weight, we started to come out of our shells. It took me a little longer to warm up to people. My sister was a little more outgoing than me. But I think I’ve come a long way. I’m asking for attention now. When people walk into the cat room, I meow to make sure they notice me. When they approach my kennel, I rub against the doors to let them know I’m friendly. I’m also quite playful. I love chasing toys around in my kennel. I bet we could have a lot of fun with a feather wand or catnip mouse. I would also have a lot of fun playing with another cat, so if you’ve got any siblings for me, that would be awesome! Then when I’ve used up all my energy, I will snuggle up with you for a well-deserved cat nap! And just look at how cute I am. Believe it or not, I’m even cuter in person. So, what are you waiting for? Apply for me, and let’s be best friends!
